Information We Collect
If you enable push notifications, we collect and store your Expo push notification token, device type, app version, locale, registration timestamps, notification timestamps, and whether the token is active. We use this information to send important festival announcements, schedule changes, and safety alerts, and to avoid sending notifications to inactive tokens.
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic information so we can identify bugs, improve app stability, and understand technical issues. Crash reports and diagnostic information may include app version, device model, operating system version, timestamps, error messages, stack traces, and technical context.
Lawful Basis
For optional push notifications, we rely on your consent because you choose whether to allow notifications on your device. You can withdraw this consent at any time by turning off notifications in your device settings.
For crash reports and diagnostics, we rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the app reliable, secure, and working as expected. We limit this processing to technical information needed to investigate and fix issues.
How We Use This Information
We use notification information only to provide and manage push notifications. We use diagnostic information only to identify bugs, improve app stability, and understand technical issues.
Your Choices
Push notifications are optional. You can turn them off in your device settings. When the app detects that notification permission has been revoked, it asks our server to deactivate the stored push token.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep push notification tokens while they are active and needed to send app notifications. If notification permission is revoked, the token is marked inactive. We keep inactive token records only as long as needed for operational, security, or audit purposes.
We keep crash reports and diagnostic information only for as long as needed to investigate technical issues, monitor app stability, and maintain the service.
Advertising Tracking
We do not use notification tokens, locale, app version, crash reports, or diagnostic information for advertising tracking.
Data Sharing
We use service providers to operate these features, including Expo for push notification delivery and Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics. We do not sell this information.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law.
Your Data Protection Rights
Under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, restriction of processing, portability of data you provided, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint .
